Leaves have started their perennial descent this year while the sun is shining at Lumsden Beach, Saskatchewan.
OFF-SEASON
On a nice autumn day, I took a short trip from Regina to Lumsden Beach to take a few photos.
As I do now, I brought with me more cameras than I should have. Once I arrived, I decided that I would only take out two of them; Canon 70D and 'Monica' the Bronica.

I stumbled across a tennis court and basketball court, both littered with recently fallen leaves and haphazardly poised with puddles. The conditions were quite interesting; standing on the edge of summer, fresh rain, and strong sunlight. Usually, with many autumn photos, the oranges, yellows, and reds can easily consume an entire image. What I find interesting about this time of year is how you can bring those elements into harmony with the blues, and greens of an earlier time.

It was very bright out, so it was comforting knowing that I had a roll of Kodak Ektar 100 already loaded and ready to go. I also had a roll of Ilford Delta 400, just in case the clouds showed up, which they did.
It wasn't too long before someone asked if I was okay. An all too familiar situation of which I am used to now, but always funny when a bystander sees me sprawled out along the ground trying to get the ideal angle for my shot.
I really can't wait to get the film back to see how the shots from Monica turned out. We'll see in a few weeks.
