Analog Monthly: March 2017

Where I’m from, March is always an interesting month; it’s usually a snow-covered start but with the unpredictability of Saskatchewan’s weather, later in the month is anyone’s guess what could happen. With a little luck (and warm days), the snow has completely vanished and made for great opportunity to get outside and to stretch my legs.

I did a lot of shooting over the month and I think there are a few reasons for that; it’s usually a direct response of newfound motivation that leads me to shoot so prolifically. One source of that motivation lately has been B&W film with a red filter - CONTRAST CITY.

This was also the same time I decided to give Rollei Superpan a try, alongside the 25A filter, which is now one of my favorite combinations.

Expired Film Day also played a big part in stoking my photographic fire for the month. The big highlight was the brilliant result of the Kodak Technical Pan and the subsequent prints it produced.

March was busy and full of shooting which has been fantastic for my motivation. April is already off to a fantastic start and I'm ambitious about the weeks ahead as the greenery starts to grow.
